Why the Name LaGaligoTa?

The name LaGaligoTa is a blend of the epic’s title, La Galigo, and the suffix "Ta", which comes from the Indonesian word kita, meaning “us”.

Together, LaGaligoTa means “Our La Galigo.”
This name reflects the platform’s founding principle: that the story of La Galigo does not belong to a single individual, but to a wider community. It is a shared cultural legacy — one that grows through collective storytelling, respectful adaptation, and inclusive participation.
